I would be amiss to go about business as usual after this week brought us the sad news of the passing of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon. I myself have been preoccupied the last few weeks with the cancer treatments of two of my family members. Life is short and the deaths of these people, reminds us of the important things in life. Grab the important things and cherish your friends and family. Things like what has happened this week hopefully will make us all better people.

This will be a cash or AST services prize of $3 for surfer #1, $3 for surfer #10, $3 for surfer #20, $3 for surfer #30, and $3 for surfer #40 EVERY week!! You will have 7 days to claim this prize as per this schedule:

Getting More Traffic at AST - Rotators & Popups Deliver Slower!==================================
This is just a clarification of how AST delivers traffic. We encourage AST members to have websites with NO popups as this delivers the most traffic and allows for hands free surfing. If your list of sites has a pop up or rotator you will not be allowed in the NO popups category. The rotator and popup category all allow popups and this can decrease traffic delivery. If your sites currently don't have popups or rotators, and you want more traffic delivered then switch your category site to NO popups (at "Select Categories that your websites fit into") and I will check it and if you have NO popups you are set to go. On the other hand if you want a slower delivery of traffic you can check PopUps or Rotators.

Surf Party Is A Go-Go! CASH and CREDITS Contest For May 2009
AutoSurfTraffic traffic was BLOWIN' smoke over the last week with more new surfers and more pages surfed than we have had for awhile. We also had an interesting trend. Besides the normal upgrades, we had a bunch of upgraded members upgrading to a higher level. Pro members were going Gold and a large number of Bronze members were going Associate upgrade. I can see why the Bronze members were upgrading to Associate as now they can have a banner rotating on the AST banner network. Banners are important because even though they don't pull in a lot of traffic to your site, they do pull in "Targeted" traffic to your site, which is important for conversion. Banners are so important that I own another banner exchange service (so if you can put code for a banner exchange on your website, you may be interested in writing me about membership outside AST - it's free).
